Heh, somebody got a speeding ticket & had it upped for sassing the cop involved.   I do feel some sympathy for the people who run afoul of policeman who is having a bad day, or are having a swelled head for getting some petty measure of authority. The bad cops do cast a pall over the rest, and the unfortunate trend of the segregation of the police from the communities they are supposed to be protecting hasn't helped any. Add in the growing tendency to use the SWAT team at the drop of a hat, and the police have lost their reputations in places.
